I grew up on a farm outside of Groom Texas. I attended school in Groom, and my graduating class had 16 students, or best friends. We had a lot of good times which I contribute to being a small school setting with a close knit family community. I feel that the small community life style is best for me and my family.
I have been married to a wonderful Highway Patrolmen who does the k-9 program. He has been in law enforcement over 32 years. We have three children. Stephen and his wife-Hope and daughters- Lily and Addy. He currently is stationed in Augusta George in the Army doing his last year of Emergency Medical Residency. Cassondra, my only daughter, graduated from WTAM with a biology degree. She lives and teaches Kindergarten in Clovis New Mexico. She is engaged to Eric Wilcox, who is in the Air Force. Andrew, is my youngest, he is working for the Department of Transportation.
I went back to school after my children where older. I Graduated from WTAM, December 2008. I started working at Grandview-Hopkins, January 2009 with RTI pull outs, to help struggling students. Then began teaching in 2009-2010 school year. I have taught Kindergarten, and 1st and 2nd grades. Now I am making a move to teaching 3rd and 4th grade. While I am excited, I am also anxious to get started. Every year has been full of wonderful students and great fun. I know this will also be a great change.
I love being your children’s teacher! I believe every child is unique and can be successful with our team work. I pray for guidance to be able to give each child what they need, and to be the best that they can be. Please contact me with any questions.
